WHAT:
Soul Center is a non-profit agency that has been providing opportunities for individuals since its inception in 2004. With a Board of Directors of Intervention Specialists, a Special Education Supervisor, a Regional Center Team member and a College Professor, we are committed to this organization that will provide opportunities to individuals in our community.
The mission of Soul Center is to create and provide social, vocational, and educational experiences through direct interactions in our community to fulfill the needs and wants of individuals with developmental disabilities.
WHO:
ANY student in grade 9 through age 110 is invited to participate in events and activities. Students WITH and WITHOUT disabilities are invited to attend and participate. Monthly meetings (every third Sunday- unless otherwise noted) and many activities are FREE to participants.
WHEN:
Every month on the third Sunday (from 3-5:30) we will have a Monthly Meeting. At this meeting we will have structured physical activities, fine and gross motor activities, enjoyment of the arts, and (what may be a favorite) PIZZA!! ALL FOR FREE!! We will have a donation box if you would like to make any monetary donation- which will be
appreciated.
Every month will be different with varied activities and speakers but every month we will come together and enjoy the ABILITIES of all participants who attend!
LASTLY:
If you are attending the next Soul Center event, you will need to: PRINT OFF, fill out and BRING:
- Emergency Medical Form
- Special Factors Form
- Seizure Plan Form if the participant has had any seizure activity in the last 5 years.
